Dual-Credit Programs

We offer multiple dual-credit programs that allow students to obtain college and high school credit. The Allied Health Certificate comprises six courses for up to 15 college units. Chemistry offers 3 college units. We offer four English courses, with up to 16 college units available, which help prepare our students even more for the rigors of college. Our Industrial Arts program currently offers 7 college units but we are hoping to expand soon offering up to 19 college units. Students interested in business and management are encouraged to take our accounting class. We also provide Individualized Online College Courses (Expanded Options Program) for students who have demonstrated the skill and motivation to take these advanced courses.

    Creating School Family

Conscious Discipline is an evidence-based program for effective social and emotional learning programs that have demonstrated statistically significant positive impacts on student behavioral outcomes and/or academic achievement. We recognize that school climate impacts all achievement, and we aim to build cooperation, willingness, and responsibility. Conscious Discipline’s four essential components include Creating the School Family, Brain State Model, Seven Skills of Discipline, and Seven Powers for Conscious Adults.

  • Teacher and student celebrates with a high five.

    Every Student Every Day

All Riddle Junior/Senior High School our students begin their day in a small homeroom of about 10 students of varying grade levels, with one staff member. One of our main goals is to make certain every student has personal contact with a staff member every school day, in addition to connecting with students outside their normal peer group. We have found it to be a very successful, home-grown program.

  • Junior high band celebrates during the holidays.

    The Arts

Band is available for fifth- through twelfth-grade students (beginning band, sixth-grade band, junior high band, and high school concert band). Drama and Just Us are available for students in seventh- through twelfth-grade. The Riddle Drama Club produces at least one stage play a year. Just Us performances are geared to elementary students and incorporate drama in a way that keeps students interested and engaged. Our World/Cultural Arts & Crafts program allows students to study different locations, time periods, and cultures through recreating the crafts. Additionally, we are fortunate to offer pottery as an elective. Riddle Elementary students create artwork, too. We will be highlighting some of their artwork throughout the year.
